Venice Water I, Italy | Crookes&Jackson
Venice is one of those places that simply draws you to it. Just the name conjures romance. We were there late in the season, in the warm autumnal days post the summer crush. Venice is all about the water - the gondalas, the canals, the light that flickers up against the walls, the rising tides, the reflections. This image can be showed individually or as part of a triptych that shows the shift of light and shade across 3 days in Venice - this one feels almost impressionist - small fractures of light and colour that form in painterly shapes - the cool of the afternoon captured in the water.
Each image is printed on Hannemuhle archival print paper by master printers. The images are individually signed by the artists and each one is uniquely numbered and catalogued. They are available in editions of just fifty per dimensional range and delivered unframed.
